Our youngest leaders are just 20 and our oldest are over 60 (with others in between) so that’s a lot of collective energy and wisdom!
Chris Syvertsen has been part of various shoreline churches over the past 35 years serving in numerous roles as Youth Leader, Deacon, Treasurer, Elder, Associate Pastor, and Lead Pastor. In March 2018 we welcomed Chris as the Lead Pastor of Shoreline Vineyard.
Chris has a passion for reaching into the community and presenting the Gospel message in a fresh and enjoyable way to those who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus as Savior. Together with his wife Tanya, they try to live out their faith and inject their fun and bright personality into every aspect of ministry.
Chris’ favorite scripture is Joshua 1:7-9 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Marc, a former rock ’n roll drummer, is one of our regular musicians, but his real passion comes out in the monthly “Oasis” he leads. That’s a stripped-down communion time with God, interspersed with guitar and/or song, Scriptures or praye
Marc also serves as Care Pastor in support to Pastor Chris.
Eileen Cramer has a passion for getting people connected into ministry. She may be one of the first people you meet at SVC and is the person who will help you learn more about our fellowship and connect you with ministries and opportunities for ministry. When she isn’t connecting people in the church she can be found working alongside owners and executives helping them develop their companies. Eileen lives in Clinton with her husband, Don.
Don Cramer is an avid fan of being active outdoors and sports. You can rarely find Don just sitting around. Don enjoys seeing men connect with each other in fellowship and encouraging them to grow in their faith and become everything the Lord wants them to be in their faith, their marriages, their families, and their work. Don lives in Clinton with his wife, Eileen.
JJ has been attending SVC since its start and has always been a part of the Youth Group. When he graduated high school, JJ remained active in assisting the youth leaders and working alongside them. When the previous leaders were called out, JJ felt the call to step in. While we continue to develop our youth program and staff, JJ leads our youth and encourages active faith and a deeper relationship with God and Jesus.
Kenny has formed a strong team as captains of our children’s ministry known as KidzChurch (for pre-K to 5th graders). That’s included creating our own customized, multi-sensory curriculum that’s just right for this age group.
Kenny also supports Pastor Chris as a Pastor’s Elder. If there is anything you would like to know more about or have questions about that you are not comfortable approaching Pastor Chris with, please contact Kenny.
Bryan, one of the Shoreline Vineyard members with the longest tenure, is our Sunday “announcement guy” (imagine a hybrid of comedic wit and spiritual vitality). He’s also one of our long-time financial trustees and at the core of our business-related tasks.
Michael Orce has attended Shoreline Vineyard since 2003 and has been serving as a Trustee since 2015. His experience and leadership in both the business world and church has been a great asset to our fellowship and we are so pleased to have him part of the leadership team. Michael is currently the Executive Director of a regional law firm. He and his wife Blandina live in Guilford with their three sons, Carter, Jonathan, and Andrew.
Michael also supports Pastor Chris as a Pastor’s Elder. If there is anything you would like to know more about or have questions about that you are not comfortable approaching Pastor Chris with, please contact Michael.
Blandina was introduced to Global Missions when she attended a Missions Conference in Urbana, Illinois, sponsored by Intervarsity. She moved on from there to join a group of Christians in Guatemala who were on fire for missions after they opened the first missionary agency in that country. After it had been established, she left that organization to open the missions department in her local church where she organized mission conferences and mission trips for the youth group. Blandina took time off to raise her own family with her husband, Michael, but now that they have become empty nesters, she’s back on the swing of things and ready to accept a new challenge!
