Hello Everyone,
Last week we continued our new series that focuses us on how the church exists to support each believer in accomplishing five purposes for our lives in our calling to accomplish the Great Commission. One of the first things God said about us was that it was not good for us to be alone. We were created for fellowship and this week we focused our series on why it is important to be involved in a community of believers.
- We need to walk with each other through life, especially through troubles and trials.
- We need to work with each other as we develop your spiritual gifts.
- We need to watch out for each other being vigilant of the traps and troubles our enemy, the devil lays.
- We need others to weep and wait with us through our losses.
- And we need each other to help us witness together as we stand in front of the world and say, “We are not ashamed to say we love Jesus Christ.”
It’s all part of the Good News that we have to share with others and it is available to us here and now – when we are in community with each other.
There has been some great interest in having new life groups form, so stay informed here through the E-Bulletin or during the announcements on Sunday. We are working on a good way to share and make available to everyone all the different Life Groups that will be running.
If you miss any of the messages from the Commission Possible series, you can find them online along with the outlines HERE, or on the podcast HERE.
THIS SUNDAY – Our mission continues…
“You can’t take it with you.” It’s a popular phrase in our culture used to try to set our priorities right and understand that we miss out on the truly enjoyable things in life when all we do is work for more things. And it’s true – none of our “stuff” will follow us into eternity. However, there is one thing you CAN take with you and that’s your spiritual family. We will all be together at that time – worshipping our God and fellowshipping with one another. If that sounds like church, you’re right! Being part of a church is just a dress rehearsal for eternity. So, who have you invited to the party?
This Sunday we look at another of our purposes – our purpose to share our faith. So many Christians want to share the Good News of our faith but simply are too afraid or don’t know how. This week we will look at five confidence builders in sharing our faith that will take the fear out of doing the only thing we can do here and now that will last for eternity. See you there!

Life Groups are one of the most unique ministries SVC has to offer in that unlike anything else, they have the ability to fulfill BOTH the Great Commandment AND the Great Commission. Together we can share in the joys and challenges of life with people who care for us leading to a rich experience in our journey with God. We get to practice what God is teaching us with others who will listen, challenge, and nurture us. We get to practice new skills, use our talents and gifts, and serve people in our community with others who we know and trust. Life groups are great ways to connect with others in the church as well as a way to create a comfortable environment for you to invite friends who may not be comfortable yet with showing up on a Sunday morning. Great relationships make life better and richer! Check out one of our Life Groups for yourself and experience the difference relationships make.

Our Riches in ChristJoin Marc Potocsky as he leads a life-changing, eye-opening 12-week bible study of the book of Ephesians, called, “Our riches in Christ.”
This letter along with the letter to the Colossians is the pinnacle of God’s progressive revelation of the mystery of the gospel to the church given to the apostle Paul, the “Apostle of grace.” Its main theme is God’s gift to the church (you and I), which is His body and the foundational multifaceted Grace of God, establishing the believers calling, position, identity, and perfect union in Christ.

Oasis and Pre-Service Prayer
Every Sunday Morning 9:00-10:15
Do you need prayer? Do you enjoy praying for others? How about just taking a break and listening for God’s still small voice?
Every Sunday morning we have a time of prayer and what we call Oasis. We start with Oasis, which is a time of sitting at the feet of Jesus. It is a Harp and Bowl style of worship featuring musical prayer. The name is derived from Revelation 5:8, describing heavenly creatures which each had harps and held golden bowls full of incense (which are the prayers of the saints.) Harp and bowl, soaking Praise and Prayer in an intimate setting, finding rest for your soul. After Oasis we try to be more intentional about praying for our community, area churches, and the needs of our church.
Oasis and Prayer meet in the Leete room down the hall from where we have our Sunday morning service. For more information, see Marc Potocsky.

Tithes and Offerings
At SVC we don’t have a special time in the service set aside for collecting tithes and offerings. At a table located at the entrance door, you will find a small box with a cross cutout on the top. Please place your tithes and offerings in this box. There are envelopes that will be alongside the box that will allow you to designate how you may like your gift applied, or for you to receive a giving statement for cash donations. Please feel free to add your name to your gift, or to designate it toward Tithes and offerings, Missions, or our new Building Fund.
Alternatively, if you prefer to make your contribution online, you can find a link to our PayPal on the website. There you can choose to make a one-time gift, or if it is more convenient you can set up a recurring gift. You can get to that page directly by clicking here.

Got another minute?
Today, more and more people start the search for a new church family online, and the first stop is usually Google. People want to get a taste of the church from the privacy of their home before they venture out to see what it is like in person. That is part of the reason we have spent so much time making our website attractive, relevant, and up to date.
However, in addition to seeing what our website is like, people also want to hear from other people what their experience has been. They way they do this is through reviews. Shoreline Vineyard Church is on Google as well as Google Maps. If you can spare a minute, maybe you would feel comfortable sharing something about our fellowship that would help someone else who is looking for a new home church? If you click HERE you will be taken to our Google Maps page. There you can see what others have said and share your story as well. Just scroll down to where you see “WRITE A REVIEW.”
